I had a very clear idea what I want on this red foam. And then I made something completely else. Happens… It’s never the clear idea what makes art, it’s the impulse to express.

A tree

As december brings the holiday atmosfere, I was a bit inspired. Not so much by Christmas trees, but by fir and pine trees in forests, before they’re cut down.

The crown

I wanted to continue with sweets, but this gold foam somehow wanted something else, so I experimented. At first I didn’t like it and it stood for days unfinished, but then I decided to finish it without any judgement whether I like it or not.

Candy time

Playing with sparkling foam and pins is fun indeed. And when you look closely, you can see your reflection in all pinheads. As dozens of Nastasyas are looking back at me.

The night and a cat

This is the first picture I made from pins and some kind of sparkling foam. That turned out to be a very inspiring technique. There will be more about that soon. You can guess what kind of pet I have.
